At ‘Featured Art’ on Kalaa, we exhibit “online curated shows” of selected art works. This provides us an online platform for exhibiting hand-picked art works of artists with promise and potential. It highlights the forte of each artist and is also juxtaposed with works of other artists under the same curatorial concept. ‘Featured Art’ on Kalaa will hopefully direct subject-oriented buyers to apt artists selected by Kalaa, instead of the buyer having to search for art works in the online gallery on the main site. 

The theme for the months of August-September 2010 is “Realism”. We have selected works from artists who have explored and excelled in the realistic domain. The selection of artists includes: Ananda Bedrala, Sachin Bhangade, Rohini Kumar Erramilli, Appasaheb Ganiger, Tarun Chakraborthy and Malay Chandan Saha.  These artists have shown distinct potential and talent, especially with reference to rendering quality, technique and concept. The art works selected for this month’s Featured Art have been executed to perfection, and have furthered the idea of realism.
