An admiration for the magical natural rock formations on the outskirts of Hyderabad, India provided artist Rohini Kumar the inspiration to capture the changing shades of colour and shifting shadows. With simple pen and ink rendering and use of earthy water colours, the artist expresses  his passion for these huge boulders precariously balanced on an edge seemingly defying the laws of  gravity. Rohini Kumar is the recipient of highly commended award by Hyderabad Art Society almost every year since 1995.
